Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Scheme

Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Scheme is designed for Nigerian Undergraduate Students who meet the following eligibility criteria below:

Eligibility Criteria for Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Award

1. Applicants must be registered students of tertiary institutions in Nigeria i.e Universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
2. Applicants must have good academic performance
3. Applicants must be poor and indigent.

Note: Previous winners/awardees of the Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Scheme are not eligible to apply

Required Documents

Applicants who fulfill the eligibility requirements outlined above are required to submit:

1. An application letter which must include:
   1. the “name of the candidate,
   2. course and year of study,
   3. state of origin and
   4. why the candidate believes that he or she should be given the award”.

2. The application letter which must not be more than two (2) pages, must be accompanied by:

1. 1. Photocopy of the candidate’s current identity Card
   2. A letter from the candidate’s current head of Department, including correct information on the candidate’s CGPA for the last academic session
   3. A letter from the Registrar certifying that the candidate is a student of the institution
   4. A copy of the candidate’s registration form for the current semester; and
   5. Two (2) current passport photographs.

Gani Fawehinmi Scholarship Award Ceremony

Successful candidates will be awarded the Scholarship in  September  at Nigerian Law Publications House, Otunba Jobi Fele- Way, C.B.D., Alausa Ikeja, Lagos at 12.00 Noon.

Venues/Centres for Interviews

Owerri: Applicants will be interviewed on Wednesday, August at ASUU Secretariat, Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO), at 10.00 am.

Abuja: Applicants will be interviewed on Thursday, August at ASUU Secretariat, University of Abuja, Gwagwalada Campus, Abuja at 10.00 am.

Lagos: Applicants will be interviewed on Tuesday, September, at Nigerian Law Publications House, Otunba Jobi Fele- Way, C.B.D., Alausa lkeja, Lagos, at 10.00 am.
