About École Normale Supérieure Scholarships

Every year, École Normale Supérieure (ENS) organizes an international selection allowing the most exceptional international students, either in Science or in Arts & Humanities, to follow a Master’s Degree at the University.

The École normale supérieure of Paris also known as ENS is a grande école in Paris, France. The university is one of the constituent members of PSL University.

The École normale supérieure has a highly competitive selection process which consist of written and oral examinations.

However, due to the selectivity of École normale supérieure entrance exam and its turnover among French researchers, it has a high proportion of prize laureates and a very good recognition. The university has also achieved particular recognition in the fields of mathematics and physics.

Worth of École normale supérieure Scholarships for International Students

The scholarship covers monthly grant of 1,000 Euros for 3 years and a room on one of the ENS campuses.

Eligibility Criteria

1. To be qualified, each candidate must be under 26 when they apply (must not have reached their 26th birthday).
2. Applicants must not have applied to the scholarship before to be eligible for École normale supérieure Scholarships.
3. To be qualified for these scholarship, applicants must not have lived in France more than 10 months during the academic year of the selection nor the previous year. Learn how to apply for a French Student Visa
4. Each applicant must justify at least one year of undergraduate studies awarded by a foreign university (outside France) during the calendar year preceding the start of applications.
5. Applicants should also justify at least two years of undergraduate studies in a foreign university (outside France), on the 1st of September following admission.
6. However, as an exception, the Director of ENS could approve the application of an applicant whose academic background outside France is not standard.
