Google Lime Scholarship Awards 2024 – 2025

The goal of the Google Lime Scholarship is to encourage and assist students in overcoming the obstacles that impede them from pursuing careers in computing and technology.

In order to support university students with disabilities in achieving their academic goals in the field of computer science, Google has teamed with Lime Connect, a nonprofit that supports students with disabilities while they seek education and potential jobs. For the current academic year, chosen students will receive 5,000 CAD or 10,000 USD, depending on where they are studying.

Who can apply For Google Lime Scholarship?

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

1. Have, or consider themselves to have, a visible or invisible disability (see Lime Connect’s approach to disability here)
2. Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the current academic year
3. Plan to enroll as a full-time student at a university in the United States or Canada for the current academic year
4. Maintain a strong academic performance
5. Be pursuing a degree in computer science, computer engineering or a degree in a closely related technical field
6. Exemplify leadership and demonstrate passion for computer science and technology

Application process

You will be asked to complete an online application through Lime Connect which includes:

1. General background information (e.g. contact information and details about your current and intended universities)
2. Resume/CV
3. Academic transcripts from your current and prior institutions (if you have earned a prior degree)
4. One letter of reference from a professor, instructor, adviser, or supervisor
5. Responses to three short answer essay questions (see how to write scholarship essays)
6. Recipients will be selected based on the overall strength of their essays and application materials compared to the entire applicant pool.

Worth of Scholarship
