For most national examination in Nigeria, especially the UTME Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), there is always a handful of examination irregularities associated with it.

As a result of these irregularities, over one hundred thousand UTME JAMB results have been withheld. Among other related acts of irregularities, examination malpractice has been canvassed to top the list.

According to the JAMB spokesperson, results that were withheld include results of candidates who must have;

1. Entered the examination halls with telephone/handset and other illegal materials that were banned.
2. Changed or attempted to change the IP addresses of the computer systems assigned to them.
3. Written answers dictated to them by owners of centres who must have been bribed.

In their attempt of being fair and diligent so as to avoid injustice, JAMB spokesperson has assured that the withheld results will be released based on the outcome of their investigation.
